Return Policy

We guarantee your satisfaction with Cogno products. If you are unsatisfied with a Cogno product for any reason, please send it, along with a note stating the reason for your dissatisfaction, to: DoubleStar, LLC 222 S. Central Ave, Suite 1006, St. Louis, MO 63105. We will refund your purchase price in full. If your reason for dissatisfaction is a result of our error (incorrect or defective item shipped to you), we'll also pay the return shipping costs. Delivery Method and Timing of Delivery

We ship via FedEx, UPS, Airborne Express and U.S. Mail from St. Louis, MO. Please allow 3-5 business days for all orders to be processed, plus shipping time.

Privacy Policy

1. DoubleStar, LLC ("DoubleStar") created "Cogno: The Alien Adventure Game" to spark the imagination of kids and teach them about the universe… we only collect the minimum customer information needed. Other than asking for email addresses in order to notify customers of new products and to conduct occasional surveys to make our product better, we avoid collecting any other personal information except if a customer buys the game online and we need payment and shipping information. This privacy policy tells you how we collect and use personal information so you can decide whether you or your kids should use the Site. One section explains provisions that apply to the collection of information from children under 13 years of age. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways other than as disclosed in this policy.

   Please review our privacy policy whenever you visit our site to make sure that you understand how any personal information you provide will be used. DoubleStar reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time. Each revision of the privacy policy shows the date the changes were made at the top of the page. Your use of this Site following the posting of such changes or revised policy shall constitute acceptance of any such changes.

   What information does this site collect from users?

   DoubleStar and its affiliates occasionally may need to collect certain types of personal information in order to provide our users with particular features, services or offers. "Personal Information" means information that identifies a person or allows a person to be located. Examples include a first and last name, a home address, an email address, or a social security number. Here's a summary of the kinds of information we collect and how we collect that information:

   1. Automatic Collection

   1. Our software automatically collects certain information from a user's computer to get a broad picture of site users and which site areas users are visiting. This information allows us to make our Site more interesting, useful, security and efficient. We don't match this information to Personal Information the user tells us.

   2. The two main ways in which we automatically collect this general information are through "log files" and "cookies."    2. Active Collection

   Our Site collects information that users voluntarily provide to us which may contain Personal Information. Here is a brief summary:

   1. Order Fulfillment and Billing

      We collect shipping, order and contact information from a user (such as name, address and telephone number, the products or services ordered, and any comments provided to DoubleStar-e.g., " Cogno is awesome!") when a user buys something from us and we store that information in a customer database. We also collect credit card information to process orders, but we don't store it in the DoubleStar customer database.

   2. Surveys, Contests and Sweepstakes

      Sometimes our Site may request information from users for surveys, contests or sweepstakes. Participation is voluntary and users decide whether or not to provide the information, which may include contact information (such as name and address), demographic information (such as zip code, age and gender) and other information about a user's interests and preferences.

   3. Product Updates and Other Communications

      We may collect information such as the user's name, e-mail address, or other contact information whenever a user communicates with us or asks to receive more information about Cogno or other DoubleStar products or services.

      DoubleStar is the sole owner of the information collected on this Site. Personal Information that is provided to DoubleStar (such as a personal e-mail address) may be used by DoubleStar in the following ways:

      • to contact users about a user's use of the Site or about our products and services or about special events or offers;
      • to notify contest winners;
      • to respond to comments or requests;
      • to request feedback and enable us to develop and improve the Site and our products and services;
      • for internal and marketing/promotional purposes; and

Similarly, we may share information with other companies that provide DoubleStar with specific products or services (e.g., administration of our mailing lists, order processing and fulfillment, contest fulfillment and customer service functions). DoubleStar makes an effort to ensure, but cannot guarantee, that all such independent contractors, service providers and consultants agree to maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of the Personal Information they obtain and agree to the same level of privacy safeguards that DoubleStar itself provides to its users.

      We also may share aggregated information (i.e. information we collect that does not allow a user to be personally identified or contacted, for example demographic and site usage information) with third parties such as partners and advertisers. This aggregated data is not linked to any Personal Information.

      DoubleStar reserves the right to share information with third parties if we are required to do so by law or if in our good faith judgment, such action is reasonably necessary to comply with the legal process, to respond to any claims, or to protect the rights of DoubleStar, its customers, or the public. Information about our users, including Personal Information, also may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, debt financing, or sale of company assets, as well as in the unlikely event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which Personal Information could be transferred to third parties as one of the business assets of the company.

   4. Can I stop receiving emails if I choose to?

      Users who no longer wish to receive promotional e-mail materials from DoubleStar may opt-out of receiving these communications by replying to the e-mail with "unsubscribe" in the subject line, or e-mailing and requesting to be taken off the list.

   5. What security precautions are taken to protect my information online?

      DoubleStar takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect our users' information, including physical, electronic and policy measures to minimize the loss, misuse, or altering of any information we receive from users. In addition, credit card information is encrypted and is protected with SSL encryption software, which makes unauthorized access to the information much more difficult.    6. How do links affect my privacy?

      This Site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that DoubleStar is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this Site. Similarly, if a user enters this Site through a link from another Web site, DoubleStar is not responsible for or bound by the privacy policies or processes of that Web site.

   7. Special Provisions applicable to Children under 13.

      Although the Site is a general audience site, portions of the Site may appeal to children under 13. In order to help protect children and to comply with applicable law, DoubleStar takes special measures to protect the privacy of those under age 13 ("Children"). Therefore, the following provisions apply to any user whom DoubleStar has actual knowledge is under 13:

      DoubleStar makes an effort to minimize the Personal Information (e.g. first and last name, address, phone number, email address, etc.), that it knowingly collects from Children and generally limits the information it knowingly collects to nonpersonal information (e.g. screen name, gender, zip code, etc.). However, from time to time, we may collect online contact information (i.e. the child's and/or the parents email address) from Children in order to conduct contests or sweepstakes, to offer various online activities and services (e.g. electronic postcards or newsletters), or to otherwise respond to a request from child. A child's participation in any of our online activities does not depend on the disclosure of more Personal Information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity. In accordance with applicable law, we may also collect name and online contact information to the extent reasonably necessary to protect the safety of a child participant on the Site, to protect the security or integrity of the Site, to take precautions against liability, to respond to judicial process or to provide information to law enforcement agencies or for an investigation on matters related to public safety. In certain circumstances, we are required to notify parents that we have collected such information and give parents the opportunity to request that we make no further use of such information. We do not collect other personal information from Children unless we first obtain parental consent. The child's and his or her parent's online contact information may be collected in order to obtain parental consent.

      Unless we have obtained parental consent to use Personal Information for some other purpose, Personal Information knowingly collected from Children is used only for the purpose for which it was collected (e.g., to respond to the child's request or notify a contest winner), and it is deleted when it is no longer needed for such purpose. Furthermore, unless we obtain parental consent to disclose Personal Information to third parties, we will not share Personal Information about Children with anyone other than the agents, consultants and service providers who assist DoubleStar with the operations of the Site or in providing or administering the contests, activities, products or services offered on the Site (e.g., fulfillment houses, delivery companies, credit card processors, etc.). If DoubleStar requests consent to collect any Personal Information about a child, the child's parent or legal guardian has the option to consent to the collection and use of the child's Personal Information without consenting to the disclosure of the information to third parties.

      If DoubleStar has collected any Personal Information about a child, parents can review the Personal Information their child has submitted online and request that any such information be deleted. Parents can also revoke their consent to the further collection of information from their child. All such requests must be made in a letter addressed to Webmaster, c/o DoubleStar, LLC, P.O. If a parent gives us consent to collect, use and/or disclose Personal Information from his or her child and we make any material changes in the collection, use or disclosure practices to which the parent has previously consented, we will notify the parent of such changes and obtain consent before using a child's information in any new way.
